My Trip to Grace Bay Club, Turks, and Caicos. But before I let you know about my experience let me tell you a little about the Turks and Caicos Islands. The Turks and Caicos consist of 40 different islands and cays, only 8 of which are inhabited. The islands of the Turks and Caicos are almost as diverse as its people. From the main tourist center of Providenciales to the quiet and tranquil islands of North and Middle Caicos to the historic Capital Island of Grand Turk; each one offers a different experience and a unique character but all offer year-round great climate, beaches, and underwater activities. Grace Bay Club is located in Providenciales. But most of the islands are only about 10 to 25 minutes by air from Provo (Providenciales) and most can be reached by boat, too. There are also regular ferries from North to Middle Caicos.
Providenciales is the most well known of the Turks and Caicos Islands and is the center of the tourism industry with a wide range of hotels, restaurants, attractions, and facilities. Have a meeting, event, or send your award-winning executive here and you will for sure be very happy you did. I saw the meeting areas and places that groups would stay and to me it was perfect!
I want to share with you my trip to the glorious Grace Bay Club, Turks, and Caicos. Before leaving I did have a look at the pictures, read a number of reviews, and went through Pinterest, but there was nothing that had quite prepared me for what I was going to enjoy.
We flew from Los Angeles, and since it was in April, the flight was inexpensive. There was a brief layover in Miami and from there we went to Turk’s and Caicos. After the flight arrived at Providenciales airport in Turks and Caicos, the door opened and I was excited to feel the warmth in the air. As it was dark we could not see much, but I could make out that construction was going on at the airport, which I took as a sign of the place becoming more popular.
We took a 20-minute ride to Grace Bay Club resort, where we were greeted by staff holding a tray of fruit and cold towels. The reception was exceptional and I felt very special. It almost felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. Recently the resort was redecorated by the famous American interior decorator Thom Filicia. The soft colors and the small touches make the whole place look very inviting.
I couldn’t wait to get into our room. We were escorted by our private concierge. When we walked through the resort we could hear the waves and smell the flowers. When we walked into our room we were overjoyed. It was beautiful. It had a small kitchen that had complimentary drinks and fresh fruit.
Every guest to this beautiful resort is given a questionnaire to fill before they arrive. The refrigerator is then stocked with a complimentary bottle of champagne and complimentary drinks accordingly. I was more than happy to get something to drink right away. I found the chilled glasses right next to the refrigerator. I was also told that I could drink water from the tap; now I was not expecting that. Apparently, the water at Grace Bay Club is believed to be very good, and as soon as I had some I was a believer too. It tasted smooth and clean. It just felt weird to get fresh water from the tap. Most Caribbean hotels sell you a bottle of water and say, “please do not drink the water”. We enjoyed ice-filled drinks during our stay.
The next thing I’m going to mention is something that really told me that Grace Bay Club thinks of everything to make their guests comfortable. When you arrive from a long flight your hungry and most resorts will require the guests to go to the dining area to have their dinner. But Grace Bay Club completely surprised me. They had a table set up with delicious dinner in the room. We pulled the table outside and sat and listened to the waves crash on the shore. Our dinner was very good. They gave us so much that we were able to enjoy the extra food the next day.
After a wonderful night in the perfect bed. I put on my complimentary house slippers and went to the luxurious bathroom to wash my face using the Elemis luxury British spa and skincare products. The bathroom was huge and the towels were thick and fluffy. I traveled to Grace Bay with my best friend and she was waiting in the other room. She was so excited to see the view that she would not look outside until I woke up. We went to the door closed our eyes and opened up the drapes. OH MY GOSH! I could finally see the full extent of the beauty of the whitest beach and the bluest water. The whitest most beautiful beach I have ever seen. And soon to going to. Hurry up and get dressed and let’s go for breakfast.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that breakfast was included. The walk to the grill was just a minute long, but it took us more than 15 minutes to finally reach it as we walked slowly enjoying the view of the beautiful pools and the beach.
We sat right next to the beach for breakfast. Everyone in the restaurant looked happy. The buffet was excellent. We had the option to order anything we wanted or to go for the elaborate buffet. The sweet rolls were amazing. I just wish I could get the recipe for the pecan rolls. When we were leaving they gave us a pack of these sweet rolls for an afternoon snack. Grace Bay Club offers Free Wi-Fi, free international calls, free bikes to explore the town. At breakfast, they provided a condensed version of the news and this is truly all we wanted to know. Feeling stuffed and satisfied we went to the front desk to find the adventures we could enjoy at the beach. The first day let’s go snorkeling. We covered ourselves in sunscreen and off we went. The boat came right on the beach and we were given a hand up to get on the snorkeling boat. We were seeding our way with other Grace Bay spoiled guests. They all said what a place to stay and how much they enjoyed the resort. We had such a fun day seeing thousands of fish and meeting some very nice people. Back home to our home for the week, Grace Bay Club. As we reached the beach, we realized that it was even more stunning than all we could appreciate from our room. The color of the sand and the water was simply amazing. We were greeted by a couple of beach boys who led us to our canopied padded day bed lounge. They also supplied soft towels. I saw a flag behind me and wondered what it was for. As soon as I picked it up and waved it a beach boy came running towards me. He asked me if I needed something. He then told me that whenever I need something I could just move the flag and he will come and attend. At that moment I wish that I could live here forever. I just loved the fact that they were so caring and friendly. I waved the flag and ordered lunch. Yes, I could get used to this.
We were served cold water bottles every hour. Grace Bay Club is one of the largest resorts in the Caribbean. It is known as one of the best beach here. After enjoying a nice swim in the warm Caribbean water we decided to use one of the sailboats to see where the wind would take us. We zoomed over the water. After our adventures on the water, we wandered the grounds and found each area magical. The pool areas of each part of the resort were a postcard. The adult pool only welcomes guests that are of/above 12 years of age. There is also the estate children’s pool, the Villa pool, and two outdoor Jacuzzis. For the parents that still want to bring their children the resort has a very special club that caters to the littlest. We went to see and each and every child we saw was very happy.
